Lincoln’s Birthday

Well, and super bowl Sunday.  I am rooting for the Chiefs, for two reasons. I have really liked Patrick Mahomes since I watched his first game. He is extremely talented and slightly unorthodox. He has redefined the shovel pass and has the fast read that reminds me of watching Joe Montana. Also, the Eagles are the team that bumped off the 49ers, although the 40ers gave the game away. Still, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. 😀

We are also in another transition period. For the third time, after 2+ years, we have acquired a new house. And like the last of our houses, we are waiting for it to be built. Of our 6 houses, 2 were purchased as tear-downs (which we salvaged and rebuilt) 1 was existing and remodeled and this will be the third new construction project. We will have different square footage in this house than we now have and unlike every other home where we increased in footage, we will be decreasing by approximately 25%. (Well, while we did decrease the “living space” in the move from Sacramento to Parma, we increased the storage space by 200%, so the living space for 2 people actually seemed to increase.) The build time is expected to be 5 months, we’ll see. The move will only be 7 miles or so and is closer to all of our kids and grandkids.  We will not list our current home for a few months, however, we are starting to thin out the garage and stored items…..  Anybody need to buy a year old tractor??
